Baseball Took on the Patriots Tuesday Night

Florence, SC. – Coker took a short drive down the road to Florence to take on Francis Marion. The Cobras looked to grab a win against the Patriots in an out-of-conference matchup.

The Patriots got on the board quickly as they scored a run at the bottom of the 2nd. Jacob Yarberry was aggressive on the bases as on a passed ball he took home to tie the game up. Cameron Ferrell looked to put the ball in play as he hit a heater at the third basemen causing an error and scored Adam Wilkerson. The Cobras went on to take the lead 2-1. Kody Hanna doubled down the line scoring Ferrell and Zack Wall making it 4-1 Cobras. The Patriots did score at the bottom of the third making 4-2. Donavan Frayer drew the throw at the top of the 5th and caused chaos on the bases. Hanna took advantaged and scored on an error throw by the pitcher. Coker took the lead going late into the game 5-2. Francis Marion went on to catch some momentum as they tied the game up in the 8th and won the game in extras on a sacrifice fly 5-6. Ferrell finished the game with 2 hits and a stolen base. Hanna went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs and took two bags throughout the game.
