HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker shortstop Bryson Conner and pitcher Forrest Arnold were named Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Co-Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week respectively, the league announced today.

Both players' efforts helped Coker to a series win over Lenoir-Rhyne this past weekend (Mar. 17-18).

Conner was 4-8 (.500) in the series including a double and a home run. The junior scored four runs, drove in six and also drew four walks in the series. Conner boasted a 1.000 slugging percentage as well as a .670 on-base percentage for the weekend.

Arnold dazzled in Saturday's 11-0 Coker win, firing a complete game shutout in game two of the series. The senior allowed only five hits, surrendered four walks and punched out seven. Arnold threw 123 total pitches, 82 for strikes in the effort to move his record to 3-0 on the season. 

Conner, a North Augusta, S.C. native is the son of Donna and Page Conner and is an exercise science major.

Arnold, from West Columbia, S.C. is the son of Heather Castles and Malcolm Arnold and is a sports management major.
