Four Cobras Bring Home All-Conference Honors

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Four Coker baseball players brought home All-Conference accolades, the South Atlantic Conference announced today.

Will Winslow, Jack Leech and Dallas Baldwin were voted to the All-SAC second team. Clint Allen received the gold glove award for left field to round out Coker's awards.

Winslow was voted to the All-SAC second team as an outfielder. Winslow leads the team in batting average, finishing with a .386 mark. Winslow's mark was fifth best in the conference. The junior knocked 11 doubles and six home runs. He knocked in 46 runs also stealing 13 bases and scoring 57 runs. The Goldsboro, N.C. native is the son of Rhonda and Chuck Winslow and is an exercise science major.

Leech earned a spot on the All-SAC second team as a catcher. Leech has played in 42 games this season for the Cobras, hitting for a .316 average. He drove in 36 runs and scored 23 times, also belting two home runs. Behind the dish he threw out 17 base runners for a total of 40.5%.  The Miami, Fla. native is the son of Sharon and Jeff Leech and is a criminology major.

Baldwin was selected to the All-SAC second team as a starting pitcher.  The senior right-hander made 15 appearances on the year, 13 of them starts. In 84.1 innings pitched, he owns a 6-3 record and a 2.77 earned run average, second best in the South Atlantic Conference. Baldwin capped off a stellar regular season firing four consecutive complete games and picking up four wins. The Burlington, N.C. native is the son of Tammy, Clay and Rachel Baldwin and is a business major.

Allen played in 33 games and owned a fielding percentage of .949 with one outfield assist on the year. The Bladeboro, N.C. native is the son of Wendi and Nathan Allen and is a medical technology major.

The Cobras take on Wingate on Thursday (April 28) at 7:00 p.m. at Smokies Stadium in Kodak, Tenn. in their first game of the South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championship.
