Cobras Anticipating NCAA Baseball Selection Show

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The nationally ranked No. 16 Coker baseball team already knows that they will be playing in the 2013 NCAA Division II Southeast Region Baseball Tournament May 16-19, but they still do not know who they will playing or where they will be playing.

Those questions will be answered on Sunday (May 12), during the NCAA Division II Baseball Selection Show.  Airing live online at 10 p.m. EST, the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship selection show will reveal where the Cobras will be playing and what team they will be playing against.

Cobra fans are encouraged to join the baseball team at Coker's Watson Theater at 10 p.m. to watch the show live. If you cannot make it to Coker to watch the show, you can watch it live on www.ncaa.com.

Currently ranked No. 5 in the NCAA Southeast Region poll, Coker (34-14) earned an automatic bid to the southeast region tournament by winning the 2013 Conference Carolinas Baseball Tournament on Apr. 28.

The southeast region tournament will be a six-team double elimination tournament. The tournament is made up of three automatic bids from the three conference tournament winners from Conference Carolinas, the South Atlantic Conference and the Peach Belt Conference, and three at-large bids.

Lincoln Memorial (26-24) secured the automatic bid from the South Atlantic Conference back on Apr. 21. The automatic bid from the Peach Belt will be determined on Sunday (May 12) afternoon.
