Coker Falls Short to Anderson, 1-0

ANDERSON, S.C. – Senior left-hander Dan Meyer threw eight and a third innings of scoreless baseball, but it was not enough as the Cobras lost to Anderson 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in college baseball. The loss drops Coker to a 6-3 record. 

Meyer (1-1) allowed just one run on five hits with three walks and seven strikeouts. The lone Anderson run came on a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth.

T.J. Giczkowski and Chad Nader each had doubles for the Cobras, while Brinley Griffin and Frank Suarez record a hit each as well.

The Cobras will hit the road again for the next game on Tuesday (Feb. 12) at Newberry College. Coker defeated Newberry in their first meeting of the season, 11-4, on Feb. 5. First pitch for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 5 p.m.
