Coker Splits Double-Header with Anderson

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Cobra baseball team split their double-header against Anderson University on Saturday (Feb. 9), dropping game one, 3-1, and winning game two, 8-6.  After the day Coker moves to 6-2 on the year.

In game one, Zach Loraine had two hits and drove in the Cobras lone run, while Keith Wolf had a pair of hits including a double to lead Coker at the plate. 

Hunter Ressler (1-1) was tagged with the loss. He allowed three runs on six hits in 4.2 innings of work. He also had two punch-outs.

Loraine (1-0) was the hero of game two as he earned the win on the mound and drove in a team high two runs.  He threw three innings in relief allowing two runs on four hits with five strikeouts and he was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored at the plate.  

Wolf, Brinley Griffin, T.J. Giczkowski and Tony Nolan each drove in a run as well for the Cobras in the win.

Coker will complete their three-game series with Anderson on Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
