Cobras Down Panthers 9-1

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Frank Suarez (Miami, Fla.) drove in three runs as the Cobras defeated the Panthers of Claflin University 9-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cobras used a pair of three run innings to jump-start the offense and another solid pitching performance from Andrew Goot (Oldsmar, Fla.) to take home the win.

Goot (2-2) earned his second straight mid-week win tossing seven innings, allowing just one run on five hits with six punch-outs.

Suarez finished the game 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored, while Lucas Britt (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) was 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Keith Wolf (O'Fallon, Ill.) was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Chad Nader (Rock Hill, S.C.) had a pair of hits with an RBI and a run scored.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Gaffney, S.C. to take on Limestone College in a three-game Conference Carolinas series starting at noon.

Suarez drove in a game high three runs for the Cobras.
