MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Cobra baseball team suffered a 13-6 loss to #16 Florida Tech on Tuesday in collegiate baseball.

Coker led through the first four and a half innings, leading the Panthers 6-2 entering the bottom of the fifth. Unfortunately from there out it was all Florida Tech, with a pair of runs in the fifth, three in the sixth and six in the seventh the Panthers took a 13-6 lead and the eventual win.

Sophomore hurler Dan Meyer (Seaford, N.Y.) (0-3) suffered the loss. He allowed seven runs on 11 hits with eight punch outs in 5.1 innings of work.

Leading the Cobras at the plate were a trio of Florida natives, Jake Frazier (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.), Nick Fuoco (Palm Bay, Fla.) and Fico Kondla (Miami, Fla.). Frazier had three hits with a run scored, while Fuoco had a double, two RBIs and a run scored and Kondla had a pair of hits and two RBIs.

The Cobras and the Panthers will be back in action on Wednesday as they wrap-up their two game series. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
