CARY, N.C. – The Cobras scored 14 runs in the first three innings of their game on Monday night against St. Augustine’s College on their way to an easy 16-1 victory in collegiate baseball. The win improves Coker to 22-19 overall.

Michael Rogers (Florence, S.C.) (3-3) picked up the win tossing five scoreless innings of baseball and allowing just two hits with four strikeouts.

Daniel Hiatt (Elwood, Ind.) led the Cobra offense, going 3-for-5 with a double, five RBIs and two runs scored, while Trey Lynch (Florence, S.C.) had two triples and four RBIs. Matt Ammons (Chester, S.C.) had a trio of hits, including a double with three runs scored and Drew Hardee (Rock Hill, S.C.) and Matthew Kearnes (Bay Shore, N.Y.) each drove in two runs.

Coker returns home for their next game on Tuesday, when they host Newberry College at 2:30 p.m. in a non-conference game.
