Brockport, NY- Coker senior catcher Julio Gomez/Santa Fe, NM, was part of a back-to-back-to-back string of home runs on June 14, as his summer team, the Geneva Red Hawks, defeated the Brockport Riverbats 4-3, in the New York Collegiate League.

 

Gomez finished the game going 2-for-4 with a home run, an RBI and a run scored. For the summer he is leading hitter for the Red Hawks with a .348 batting average, a home run, two doubles and four RBIs through seven games.

 

Gomez, along with fellow Cobra baseball players are playing summer baseball through out the country. Senior pitcher Brad Boob/Charlotte, NC, is playing in the Florida Collegiate Summer League for the Altamonte Springs Snappers, junior pitcher Chris Thomas/Hilton Head, SC,  is playing in the Boise Summer League in Boise, Idaho, where he plays for the Outlaws, and Ty Medlin/Seneca, SC,  is playing in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League for the Carolina Chaos out of Central, SC.
