HARTSVILLE, SC – Coker shut out Pfeiffer 2-0 and 11-0 in a collegiate baseball double header Saturday afternoon.  The Cobras are 24-16 overall and 13-7 in the CVAC, while Pfeiffer drops to 17-26, 7-13 in the conference.
 
Freshmen Brad Boob and Nick Green both pitched complete game shutouts in Hartsville to knock off the Falcons.  Boob scattered six hits and two walks over nine innings, while Green limited Pfeiffer to three hits and three walks while striking out seven.

Coker broke a scoreless tie in the second inning of game one with a two-out single by Justin Sims.  T.J. Dawson, who walked and then advanced on a wild pitch, scored from second base.

Eric Losten made it 2-0 in the fifth when he scored on a Pfeiffer error.  Brian Nally drew a throw to second base on a steal but the throw bounced into the outfield and Losten scored.

Losten went 3-4 in the game with a run scored and Sims went 2-2 with one RBI.

The Cobras broke open a 1-0 second game with five runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth.  Coker got nine of their 11 hits in the two inning outburst, including a two out triple by Seth Weinberg to drive in two runs in the third.

Senior Ben Kershner went 2-4 with two RBI and two runs scored and Dawson went 2-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.  Conrad Deese had two hits, one RBI and two runs scored and Nic Fletcher also had two hits and scored a pair of runs.

Coker and Pfeiffer will complete the three game series on Sunday, April 10, at 1:00 PM in Hartsville.
