4th Annual Cobra Club Golf Outing

2014 Taste of Coker

The "Cobra Spotlight" is a weekly highlight of a student-athlete at Coker College. Each week we take a different athlete from a different sport and display some facets to get more familiar with them. Women’s Soccer

  • This week’s matches:
    • Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. (A) – Converse
    • Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (H) – Anderson – Prostate Cancer Awareness Night/ Hartsville Chamber of Commerce Night
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Georgia Southwestern (W) – 4-1
    • Lincoln Memorial (W) – 1-0
  • The Cobra women went 2-0 last week with an impressive 4-1 victory over Georgia Southwestern and a 1-0 win in their SAC opener against Lincoln Memorial. This week the women will travel to Converse for a non-conference match on Tuesday at Converse. They will then return home for a SAC match on Saturday versus Anderson. Saturday’s match will be Prostate Cancer Awareness Night and Hartsville Chamber of Commerce Night.

Men’s Soccer

  • This week the Cobra men will travel to Lander University for a non-conference match on Wednesday. They will then return home for a SAC match against Anderson on Saturday. Saturday’s match will be Prostate Cancer Awareness Night and Hartsville Chamber of Commerce Night.

Women’s Volleyball

    • Barton (W) – 3-1
  • The women’s volleyball team opened the brand new DeLoach Center with an impressive 3-1 victory over Barton College. This week the Cobras will look to continue that success with three South Atlantic Conference matches at home; Queens (Tuesday), Lenoir-Rhyne (Friday) and Brevard (Saturday). The women will also hit the road to UNC Pembroke for a non-conference match on Saturday evening.

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

  • This week’s meet:
    • Saturday at CIU Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
  • Last week’s meet:
    • None
  • After a week off, the Cobra men’s and women’s cross country teams will return to action at the CIU Invitational in Columbia, S.C. this week.

Men’s Golf

    • Monday–Tuesday at Kiawah Island Invitational at Kiawah Island, S.C.

  • The Coker College men's golf team kicks off its 2014-15 season at the Kiawah Island Invitational hosted by USC Aiken. The 36-hole, two-day tournament will be played on Monday and Tuesday (Sept.15-16) at the Cougar Point Golf Club on Kiawah Island. The Navy and Yellow have finished in the top 10 at the Kiawah Island Invitational the last two seasons, including a solo 3rd place finish in 2012.
