Cobra Club BINGO Night – Thursday, April 10

Calling all BINGO enthusiasts! The Coker College Cobra Club will be hosting a BINGO Night on Thursday, April 10, 2014. BINGO Night will be a fundraiser for the Cobra Club with all proceeds benefiting Coker’s athletic teams.

Admission is free and cards start at $1 with tons of prizes for everyone. BINGO Night will be held in Coker’s Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball

  • This week’s matches:

    • Thursday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Erskine
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Belmont Abbey – 3-2 (W)
    • Rutgers-Newark – 3-2 (W)
    • Limestone – 3-0 (L)
  • The men’s volleyball team captured two impressive 3-2 victories last week over Belmont Abbey and Rutgers-Newark. This week the Cobras will play host to Barton in their final home match of the season on Tuesday. Prior to the start of the match the Cobras will honor their lone senior Ricardo Ferrer.       

Baseball

  • This week’s games:
    • Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Belmont Abbey (DH)
    • Friday at 6:00 p.m. (A) – Tusculum
    • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Tusculum (DH) 
  • Last week’s games:
    • Clarion  - 5-0 (W), 7-3 (W)
    • Catawba – 9-1 (L), 12-8 (L), 7-3 (L)
  • The Cobras will continue their eight-game road trip this week with five games away from home. They will start with a double-header at Belmont Abbey on Tuesday, and then conclude with a three-game SAC series at Tusculum on Friday and Saturday.  

Men’s & Women’s Tennis

  • This week’s matches:
    • Friday at 1:00 p.m. (H) – Mars Hill
    • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Tusculum
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Queens – 9-0 (L) – women, 6-3 (W) – men
    • Lenoir-Rhyne – 9-0 (L) – women, 8-1 (W) – men
  • The No. 36 Coker men picked up a pair of SAC victories last week to improve to 6-1 in league play. The Cobra men are now in second place in the SAC standings. This week they will play host to Mars Hill on Friday and Tusculum on Saturday.

Men’s & Women’s Golf

    • (W) Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C. – March 23-24
  • Last week’s tournaments:
    • (M) Bearcat Classic – 9 of 17

  • The Coker men placed ninth at the Bearcat Classic over the weekend. Senior Josh Clay led the way with a top-25 finish. This week the Cobra women will head to Pinehurst to compete in the Pinehurst Challenge hosted by Wingate.  

Softball

  • This week’s games:
    • Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. (A) – Queens (DH)
    • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (H) – Mars Hill (DH)
  • Last week’s games:
    • Edinboro – 18-9 (L), 10-5 (L)
    • Catawba – 6-5 (L), 10-3 (L)
    • Lincoln Memorial – 6-4 (L), 3-2 (W)
  • Coker will travel to Queens on Wednesday and then host Mars Hill on Saturday. All four games are South Atlantic Conference games.

Men’s Lacrosse

  • This week’s games:
    • Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (H) – Brevard
  • Last week’s games:
    • Belmont Abbey – 22-12 (L)
    • Lenoir-Rhyne – 17-10 (L)
  • The Coker men’s lacrosse team will play host to the Tornados of Brevard in a South Atlantic Conference game on Saturday.

Women’s Lacrosse

    • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (H) – Brevard
