Five Cobras Earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District

College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams Released The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic AllAmerica® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure. Cobras had five athletes named to this year's list.  Frederic Benedix, Celestin Blondel, Jacques Fokam Sandeu, Felix Stoeffler, and Matthew Tricker were all named to this year's College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. 

Frederic Benedix is from Riesa, Germany, Benedix is a sophomore who is studying Psychology as well as plays midfielder for the Cobras. He has a 4.0 GPA in the classroom and finished the year with one goal and six assists for a total of eight points. Was part of the 2023 SAC All-Conference teams. 

Our next athlete is Celestin Blondel. Blondel comes to Coker from Volckerinckhove, France. Celestin has scored five goals and four assists to total 14 points for the year. The midfielder is studying General Science and has a GPA of 3.73. He was also named to the SAC All-Conference teams.

Jacques Fokam Sandeu is a senior from Sartrouville, France. The forward has had an impressive season with seven goals and five assists for 19 points to earn him a spot on the SAC All-Conference team. Sandeu is studying Business Administration and has a 3.86 GPA. 

Felix Stoeffer is up next for the Cobras. Felix comes to Coker from Kuerten, Germany. The senior played defense for Coker and started in 12 games. Stoeffer is studying Business Administration and has accumulated a GPA of 3.72. 

Last up for the Cobras is Mathew Tricker. Tricker is a junior from Suffolk, England. Mathew has been studying Physical Education and has a GPA of 4. The defender started in 16 games for the Cobras scoring two goals for a total of 4 points on the year.
