The "Cobra Spotlight" is a weekly highlight of a student-athlete at Coker College. Each week we take a different athlete from a different sport and display some facets to get more familiar with them. This week we take a look at Da'Sha Jobes and Brandon Campbell, members of the men's and women's track & field team.

Position: Long jumper/long sprinter
Hometown: Columbia S.C.
Year: Sophomore
Major: Physical education and sports studies with a concentration in physical fitness programming.
Why did you choose Coker? I chose Coker because it was close to home and I immediately like I was home on my first visit.
What is your best memory at Coker (athletic related)? Athletically, my best memory at Coker was when we placed 3rd in the 4x1 last year. We felt pretty accomplished until we found out we weren't getting a medal just a high five. We still worked hard to get where we were.
What is your best memory at Coker (non-athletic related)? My best memory so far at Coker was last year when my friends made me watch every musical possible, it was torture but I've seen Rent 20 times! Also late night runs for McDonald's and Wendy's.
Which athletic team would you play on at Coker other than your own? Other track I would like to try soccer. I tried in high school and epically failed but I still love the sport.
Favorite class: Probably any history class
Favorite professor: Dr. Lay
Plans after graduation: I'm studying to become a personal trainer so hopefully after graduation I'll have some clients to work with.

What is something people may not know about you? That I write poetry and draw
Do you have a nickname? If so, how did you get it? My nickname is Bambi. I got the name because I run like a deer, or gracefully as my former teammates put it.

Why did you choose Coker? For the athletics and small, friendly campus.
What is your best memory at Coker (athletic related)? The day Coach let me try to run the Big Man Relay 4x400 and we won!
What is your best memory at Coker (non-athletic related)? The day we were fishing at the Boathouse with friends and we flipped the canoe.

What is something people may not know about you? I always wanted to be a Wrestler and when I was younger I had a fake wrestling belt that I wore everywhere.
