
Men’s Cross Country Ranked No. 10 in Conference Preseason Poll
The Coker men's cross country team tied for 10th place in the conference preseason poll.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's cross country team was voted No. 10 in the Conference Carolinas preseason coaches' poll, it was announced today.
The Cobras tied for 10th with Pfeiffer. Each team received 22 points. King College took first-place honors with 92 points.
Coker enters the first season under head coach Vic Finora. Dylan Bates and Josh Peterson, both sophomores, return to lead the team. Finora and the Cobras begin their season Friday at the Eye Opener Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C.
The entire preseason coaches' poll is as follows:
- King; 2. Queens; 3. Mount Olive; 4. Belmont Abbey; 5. Erskine; 6. Limestone; 7. Lees-McRae; 8. Barton; 9. North Greenville; T-10. Coker, Pfeiffer
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletic conference made up of 12 teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions are Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Coker College, Converse College, Erskine College, King College, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, Mount Olive College, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University and Queens University of Charlotte.
