ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Coker men’s cross country team picked up their first win of the 2010 season on Friday afternoon in the Claflin Invitational 6k race.

Leading the Cobra runners was senior Austin McJunkins (Walhalla, S.C.) with a third place finish and a time of 22:16. He was followed by Britt Tomlinson (Rock Hill, S.C.) in fifth place with a time of 22:37, Sheldon Brown (Leatherhead, England) in sixth place with a time of 22:47 and Quinn Wegner (Sumter, S.C.) in seventh place with a time of 22:50. Rounding out the Cobra runners was Thad Sulek (Hilton Head, S.C.) with a time of 24:04 in 12th place.

The Cobras return to the trails on Saturday when they travel to Lumberton, N.C. for the UNC-Pembroke Invitational.
