Hartsville, S.C. – Coker College Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach, Ley Fletcher, announced the signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to run for the Cobras in 2008-09. Justin Gragg and Caitlyn Driscoll will each join the Cobras in the fall of 2008 to run for the Cobra men and women respectively.

Gragg is a native of Lenoir, North Carolina, where he was a six-time letter winner at West Caldwell High School. While at West Caldwell Gragg was named to the North Carolina All-State Cross Country and Track and Field Teams. In cross country, he placed third at the 2A State Championship with a 16:20 5k time, while in track and field he finished fifth in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:37 at the 2A State Championship. Justin also had the distinct honor of being voted the most valuable runner in his school conference.

Driscoll comes to Coker from Buffalo, New York, where she was standout runner at Grand Island High School. She is a two-time captain and MVP for both the cross country and track and field teams, was named All-State in cross country and indoor track and field, and was voted by the Niagara Gazette as the runner of the year for 2008.

Justin and Caitlyn will both look to make some immediate impacts on the Coker College Cross Country Teams in the fall. The Cobras will open their 2008 seasons in August as they look to bring a Conference Carolinas Championship back to Coker.
