Wingate, NC- On Saturday morning, the Coker College Cross Country Teams competed in the Pre-Region meet at Wingate University. Both the men’s and women’s teams placed in the top ten, with the men placing ninth and the women placing tenth.

Leading the way for the Coker men in the 8k event was Michael Murphy/Peekskill, NY, with a time of 36:03 in 22^nd place. He was followed by Adam Green/Easley, SC, with a time of 37:54. Next for Coker was Abel Carballo/Orlando, FL, with a time of 38:48, followed by Austin McJunkins/Walhalla, SC, at 39:00. Andrew Smith/Orlando, FL, was next with a time of 39:15, while Joe Hock/Surfside Beach, SC, came in at 39:28. Rounding out the field for Coker were Michael Koshis/Greenville, SC, and Chris Briggman/Pelion, SC, with times of 43:25 and 45:45 respectively.

The Cobras next meet is on September 29, as they travel to Greensboro, NC, for the Hagan Stone Invitational.
