Hartsville, SC- Coker College women’s Cross country Runner Shannon Townley was named to the 2006 NCAA Division II All-Academic Women’s Cross Country Team on Monday, February 5.

 

Townley, a junior from Anniston, AL, was consistently one of the Lady Cobras best runners all season. She had her best finish of the season at the CVAC Conference Championship meet were she finished with a time of 21:56.

 

To qualify for Division II All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 (on 4.0 scale) and finish in the top 30 at the regional cross country championships.

 

Fourteen All-Academic women’s honorees had 4.0 GPAs.
