Wingate, NC- For the first time ever a Coker Cobra will run in the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championship Race, and that Cobra is senior David Green. Green’s fourth place finish at the NCAA Regional meet at Wingate University with a time of 32:35 in the 10K event, allowed him to qualify for the National Championship meet as an individual. Green’s time, a personal best, is also a Coker school record, was better than both this years CVAC champion and runner-up.

As a team the Coker Men had their best finish ever at the Regional Meet placing fifth, just one spot and eight points away from qualifying as a team for the National Championship.

Behind Green was Nathan Hansen in 21st place with a time of 34:22, followed by Sam Githinji at 34:59 and Adam Green with a time of 35:06. Tyler Carroll was next with a time of 35:17, then came Kevin Ganiel at 38:12 and rounding out the Coker team was Michael Koshis with a time of 41:35.
