Gaffney, SC- The Coker College Women’s Cross Country ran an excellent race on Saturday, in collegiate cross country. The Lady Cobras placed 5^th out of 12 teams, but they placed second among CVAC teams, behind Pfeiffer University in 4^th place, while Converse College and Erskine College finished in 7^th and 8^th place respectively.

Leading the Cobra runners was Heidi Rienstra with a time of 22:01 in 17^th place; she was followed by Dana Daves in 25^th place with a time of 22:23. Monica Taylor came in next for Coker at 22:45, while Noelle Sharbono was next with a time of 23:03. Shannon Townley came in at 23:13, followed by Ashley Cupp at 25:13. Rounding out the field for the Cobras were Amy Jones and Marissa Shinkovich with times of 30:04 and 30:05 respectively.

The next meet for the Coker Cross County Team is on Saturday, October 7, when they travel to the Disney Classic in Orlando, FL.
