Spartanburg, SC- The Coker Cross Country Teams got a first hand look at the course they will run in this years CVAC championship, as they ran in the CVAC Pre-Conference meet in Spartanburg, SC. Both teams faired well, with room for improvement, as the men finished fourth out of 22 teams overall, and were third out of CVAC teams, while the women were 14^th out of 24 teams overall, and were seventh out of the CVAC teams.

In the women’s race, Coker had another strong showing from Heidi Rienstra who finished with a time of 21:30, followed by Shannon Townley at 22:35. Monica Taylor came in at 22:36, with Dana Daves coming in at 22:41. Coker’s Amy Jones was next at 24:04 and Noell Sharbono came in next at 24:17, with Ashley Cupp rounding out the field for the Cobras at 24:41.

The next meet for the Cobras will be the Pre-Region meet in Wingate, NC, on Saturday, September 16.
