Orlando, FL- On Saturday, October 8, the Coker College Cross Country Teams competed in the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, FL. The meet brought together some of the top teams in the nation in all divisions. As for the Cobras, the men finished 14th of 40 teams and the women did not have enough runners finish the race in order to place as a team.

 

In the men’s race junior David Green/Easley, SC, continued his great year with a top 25 finish and a time of 26:40. Fellow junior’s Nathan Hansen/Montgomery, AL, and Tyler Carroll/Birmingham, AL, finished next with times of 27:27 and 28:39 respectively. Next was freshman Adam Green/Easley, SC, with a time of 29:41, followed by senior Jermain Cooper/Irmo, SC, at 30:35. Senior classmates Alex Kornfeld/Greenville, SC, and Britt and Blake Means/Irmo, SC, had times of 30:50, 31:58 and 33:35 respectively. Finishing out the field for Coker was sophomore Michael Koshis/Greenville, SC, with a time of 34:27.

 

The next meet for the Cobras Cross Country Teams will be on Friday, October 21. They will both compete in the CVAC Conference Championships at Anderson College.
