Wingate, NC- The Coker Cross Country teams competed in the Wingate Invitational on Saturday in collegiate cross country. The Wingate Invitational is a 10k race for the men and a 6k race for the women.

The Coker Women’s team did not do as well, and came in 17th of the 17 teams.  

 

Leading the way for the Cobras was sophomore Noel Sharbono/ Pembroke Pines, FL, with a time of 29:45. She was followed by freshman Shannon Townely/Anniston, AL finishing at 31:09, followed by senior Rnesha Baldwin/Bolingbrooke, IL, who finished at 31:17. As for the rest of the Cobras, Elizabeth Cox/ N. Myrtle Beach, SC finished at 38:26 and Jennifer Gramm at 38:41.

 

The Cobras next cross country meet is the Great American Invite in Cary, NC on September 24.
