VOLLEYBALL SECURES DOMINANT SWEEP ON THE ROAD AGAINST CATAWBA
Salisbury, NC – The Cobras made quick work of the Catawba Indians tonight, earning their second sweep on the year in a blowout victory (25-21, 25-19, 25-13).
The first set saw the Cobras perform well down the stretch to secure the 25-21 first-set victory. Down 5-6 early, they won seven of the next ten points to take a 12-9 lead. They were able to maintain that lead, never trailing for the remainder of the set to head up 1-0.
In the second set, it was all Cobras all the way through in a 25-19 victory. They held an early lead that was once a seven-point difference (20-13). They never looked back and pulled out the victory to take the commanding two-set lead.
The third set was nothing but Cobra excellence. They dominated the remaining set 25-13 to secure just their second sweep of the season and notch another conference win on the road.
