Hartsville, SC - The Cobras put up a heck of a fight against the Trojans of Anderson, falling in four sets (17-25, 25-21, 16-25, 11-25) at home.
In both the first and third sets the Cobras started off hot with the score being even, but in each set, the Trojans pulled away at the end.
The second set was the star of the show for the Cobras, with everyone coming together on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. The Trojans came out with the lead but Coker was quick to respond, down 10-8 and winning four points in a row to take a 12-10 lead. They pulled out the set with a final scoreline of 25-21.
Unfortunately for the Cobras, they couldn't quite replicate that set and fell in four. Key players who reached double figures for the Cobras included Maddy Roberts (12 assists), Laila Hixon (12 digs), and Meadow Morse (14 digs).
The Cobras will continue their six-game homestand on Tuesday as the Emory & Henry Wasps come to town. First serve in that one is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.
