VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO SOUTHERN WESLEYAN ON THE ROAD
Central, SC - The Cobras completed their two-game road trip last night, losing to the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan 3-0 (20-25, 23-25, 20-25).
This was a match where the final score did not reflect how closely contested this was. Each set had a back-and-forth between the teams but Coker found themselves on the wrong end in each of the three sets.
Naomi Earl-Reyes was the offensive highlight for the Cobras, co-leading Coker in kills with 10 of them on .350 percentages. Cayla Gilmore was the other Cobra with double-figure kills, having 10 of her own. Laila Hixon (14) and Maddy Roberts (13) were in double figures in assists while Peyton Tribolet (16) and MJ Hurd (10) recorded double-digit digs.
After a long weekend, the Cobras will take some time off and return to action this Friday, September 27th, as they travel to UVA-Wise. First serve for that contest is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
