Hartsville, SC- In a match against #24 ranked Wingate, the Coker volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss. Wingate dominated each set with scores of 25-18, 25-15, and 25-17.

Wingate demonstrated a strong offensive performance throughout the match. In the first set, they recorded 17 kills with only 2 errors on 36 attempts, resulting in a hitting percentage of .417. They continued their solid hitting in the second set with 14 kills, 6 errors, and a hitting percentage of .178. In the final set, Wingate recorded 18 kills, 4 errors, and a hitting percentage of .264.

On the Coker side, their offense struggled to find a rhythm against Wingate's strong defense. In the first set, Coker had 11 kills, 5 errors, and a hitting percentage of .182. The struggles continued in the second set with only 6 kills, 5 errors, and a hitting percentage of .025. In the final set, Coker managed 8 kills, 2 errors, and a hitting percentage of .140.

Coker's Taylor Hills led the team individually with 5 kills, followed by Chelsey Blume with 9 kills and Naomi Earl-Reyes with 5 kills. Wingate had a balanced attack, with Emily Johnson leading the team with 12 kills, followed by Amber Rowoldt with 7 kills and Gabby Saye with 6 kills.

Defensively, Wingate's Clare Sheedy contributed significantly to the team's success. She recorded 31 assists and also had 4 digs. On the Coker side, Meadow Morse led the team with 16 digs.

Despite their efforts, Coker was unable to overcome Wingate's strong performance and fell to a 2-11 overall record and 0-6 in conference play. Wingate improved their record to 9-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.t
