Coker Drops Senior Day Match to Catawba

Hartsville, S.C. - Coker Women's Volleyball Team played Saturday (Nov. 5th) in hopes of getting a final win for seniors.

The Cobras dropped their Saturday (Nov. 5th) match in three straight sets to the Indians. Chelsey Blume registered eight kills throughout the match, bringing her total to 190 for the season. Blume was followed in kills by Taylor Hills (4), Nehemiah Jinks (2), and Naomi Earl-Reyes (2). Alexis Kopicki, Lauren Loveday, Mallory Carter, Adriana Velez, and Ramsaye Wakinekona also recorded one kill each for the match. Adriana Velez collected twelve assists from the twenty-one kills while Mallory Carter had five. Makayla Harris also registered two assists for the game. Makayla led the team in digs against Catawba with thirteen, followed closely behind by Adriana Velez (11). Nialah Gupton and Alex Williams had five digs individually. Mallory Carter (4), Naomi Earl-Reyes (3), Taylor Hills (3), Nehemiah Jinks (2), and Chelsey Blume (1) all added their respsective numbers to the total of forty-seven digs. Blocking was led by Nehemiah Jinks with two. Naomi Earl-Reyes and Ramsaye Wakinekona each collected one block for the game. Both Taylor Hills and Nialah Gupton had two service aces. Loveday, Carter, and Velez all brought in one service ace apiece. 

That concludes the 2022-23 season for the Cobras and they will return to the court next year.
