Volleyball Falls at Lenoir-Rhyne in Four Sets

HICKORY, N.C. - Coker University Volleyball fell at Lenoir-Rhyne in four sets on Wednesday (Oct. 19) by a score of 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 18-25, 11-25). 

Chelsey Blume led the way with 15 kills, while five others contributed kills in the match. Adriana Velez dished out a team-high 17 assists in the match, while three others also registered assists in the match. Lauren Loveday (two), Taylor Hills and Velez each had service aces in the match. Makayla Harris led the way with 11 digs in the contest, while nine others posted digs in the match. Loveday, Hills and Nehemiah Jinks each had solo blocks in the match, while Blume led the way with four block assists. Three others also had block assists in the contest. 

The Cobras return to action next Friday (Oct. 28) at Newberry in South Atlantic Conference action. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. from Newberry, S.C., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
