Volleyball Drops Saturday Conference Affair with Mars Hill

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker University Volleyball dropped its South Atlantic Conference affair to Mars Hill on Saturday (Sept. 24) by a score of 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-14). 

Lauren Loveday led the way with eight kills, while Chelsey Blume had seven and Alaysia Anderson had six. Taylor Hills registered five kills, while Alexis Kopicki contributed two and Kendal Boland and Nehemiah Jinks each had one. Boland dished out a team-high 13 assists, while Adriana Velez also had 10 and Makayla Harris also had three. Loveday and Niahlah Gupton each also registered one assist in the match. Boland totaled three service aces in the match, while Hills also had two. Harris tallied a team-high 15 digs in the match, while Alex Williams also had 10. Seven other Cobras registered digs in the match. Blume led the blocking effort with five solo blocks in the contest, while Anderson had one. Kopicki and Jinks each had one block assist in the match. 

The Cobras return to the floor on Tuesday (Sept. 27) to host No. 24 Wingate in South Atlantic Conference action. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. from the DeLoach Center, with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com
