
Cobras Triumph Over Pioneers in SAC Action
The women’s volleyball team of Coker College finished their home regular season schedule against the Tusculum Pioneers Saturday (Nov. 4). The Cobras took the match from the Pioneers in three sets (33-31, 25-18, 25-22).
HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The women's volleyball team of Coker College finished their home regular season schedule against the Tusculum Pioneers Saturday (Nov. 4). The Cobras took the match from the Pioneers in three sets (33-31, 25-18, 25-22).
Taylor du Bray led the Cobras with a double-double of 18 kills and 12 digs, to go along with three block assists. Bethany Prochnow finished the afternoon with nine kills, adding a solo block and assisting on one. Christen Bragg has surpassed the 3,000 career assist mark after having 40 on the match. She also totalled 13 digs with one solo block and one block assist. Alexis Berles now has the top spot in the conference in solo blocks with 25 on the season. She finished the match with six kills, one service ace, three solo blocks and three assisted. Madison Bingle had seven kills and 12 digs. Annie Mansfield ended with seven kills. Missy Reid added a service ace and seven digs. Kara Overholt had a game-high 24 digs, tacking on five assists.
For the match, the Cobras finished with 49 kills, 47 assists, three service aces, 74 digs, five solo blocks, and eight block assists.
The Navy and Gold travel to Salisbury, N.C. to take on Catawba Tuesday (Nov. 7). The match against the Indians is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
