
Cobras Look to Conquer Trojans in SAC Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College women's volleyball team will challenge the Anderson University Trojans in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday (Oct. 28) at 3:00 p.m.
The Cobras are coming off of a 3-1 SAC victory over Newberry on Tuesday (Oct. 24) that saw Taylor du Bray have a career-high in kills with 23. She leads the team with 243 kills, followed by Madison Bingle's 207. With 22 service aces, du Bray tops the Cobras in that category, with Christen Bragg coming in second with 20. Bragg has already surpassed her previous season-high assist record, totalling 827 thus far. She also lays claim to second all-time in Coker's record book for career assists. Kara Overholt holds the top spot for the Navy and Gold in digs on the season at 426, which is a rate of 4.84 per set. Bethany Prochnow and Alexis Berles own the top two spots in the conference in solo blocks with 19 and 18, respectively. Berles has assisted on 53 blocks as well, which leads the Cobras.
Overall in the SAC, Coker ranks first in solo blocks and second in digs. They claim third in kills, assists, and digs per set. In total blocks, the Navy and Gold are fourth.
Going into the weekend, the Trojans are led offensively by Marissa Mitter's 267 kills, which ties her second overall in the conference. Emily Conlin leads the Black and Gold in assists with 831 and her 32 service aces ties her for first overall in the SAC. Emily Conard has the team-high digs with 281 at the libero position. Serena Jackson is the defensive leader for the Trojans with 63 total blocks, 6 solo and 57 assisted.
