
Cobras Welcome Railsplitters and Eagles for Halloween Weekend SAC Matches
The Coker College women's volleyball team will be back at home on Friday and Saturday to take on the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters and Carson-Newman University Eagles.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team will be back in action on Friday (Oct. 30) and Saturday (Oct. 31) for a pair of South Atlantic Conference matches against Lincoln Memorial University and Carson-Newman University. The Cobras and Railsplitters will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, while the match with the Eagles is set for a 2 p.m. start. Live stats and video is available at www.cokercobras.com.
Madison Bingle leads the way offensively with 192 kills so far this season. Megan Hardy has 122 kills, while Alexis Berles has 97. Defensively, Rachel Waters has a team-high 214 digs and Berles has 58 total blocks. Setter Christen Bragg will look to add to her team-high 464 assists and her 0.39 service aces per set average, which is fourth best in the conference.
LMU travels to Hartsville with an even 11-11 overall and an 8-8 in conference record. They are led by the duo of Brooke Fleeman and Liz Brock. Fleeman has 217 kills and Brock has 209.
The Eagles will stop to take on Wingate University before facing the Cobras on Saturday. They enter the road trip with a 21-4 overall and a 14-2 in conference record. They are led by Sara Fairley and Molly Locke. Fairley is second in the conference with 289 kills and Locke is third with 279. Setter Anna Patton leads the conference with 10.31 assists per set.
Friday night's match is set for a 7 p.m. start with the doors of the DeLoach Center opening at 6 p.m. Prior to Friday's match, Coker will be hosting "Trick or Treat with the Cobras." The event will begin at 6 p.m.
