
Cobras Host Royals and Indians in Weekend SAC Matches
The Coker College women's volleyball team will take on Queens and Catawba at home on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 2-3).
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team will be back at home on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 2-3) for the first since Sept. 12 to take on the Queens University of Charlotte Royals and Catawba College Indians. The Cobras will take on the Royals at 7 p.m. on Friday, then turnaround to take on the Indians at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Live stats and broadcast can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
Leading the way for the Navy and Gold is the duo of Madison Bingle and Megan Hardy. Bingle has 87 kills, while Hardy has 68 kills. Christen Bragg's 192 assists are a team-high and her 0.49 service aces per set are third in the South Atlantic Conference.
The Royals travel to Hartsville with a 4-7 overall and a 3-4 in conference record. They are led by Meredith Jones who has 139 kills this season.
The Indians will take on Wingate before making the trip to Coker. They enter the road trip with a 7-7 overall and a 4-3 in conference record. They are led by the duo of Alex Hopper and Erin Morant. They have 112 and 111 kills this season.
First serve is set for 7 p.m. Friday with the doors of the DeLoach Center opening at 6 p.m. Saturday's match is set for a 2 p.m. start with doors opening at 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 dollars for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
