HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team dropped a South Atlantic Conference match, 3-0, to the Brevard College Tornados on Saturday (Sept. 20).
The Cobras came out strong, pushing the Tornados to their limit in the first set before falling 25-21. Errors would doom the Navy and Yellow the rest of the match, as Brevard picked up 25-17 and 25-13 victories, respectively, in the second and third sets.
Madison Bingle led the offense with seven kills, while Angelique Goswick had 10 digs to lead the defense. Christen Bragg paced the offense with 22 assists and added seven digs and two blocks.
The Cobras will be back in action tonight (Sept. 20) against the UNC Pembroke Braves. The match is slated for a for a 6 p.m. start.
