
Cobra Volleyball Begins Three-Match Home Stand with Nationally Ranked Wingate
The Cobra women's volleyball team will begin its three-match home stand this week on Tuesday (Oct. 1) against nationally ranked No. 14 Wingate.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team will play host to the nationally ranked No. 14 Wingate University Bulldogs in a South Atlantic Conference matchup to start its three-match home stand on Tuesday (Oct. 1). First serve is slated for 7 p.m. in the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium. The match will be broadcast live online at www.cokercobras.com.
Senior Taylor Willis returned from an injury to lead the Cobras offense against Carson-Newman with a match high 15 kills in their last match. In eight matches this season, Willis has put down 84 kills for a 3.65 kills per set average.
Wingate enters the match with a 10-2 overall record and a 6-0 mark in the SAC. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 victory against Lincoln Memorial, and are led by the 125 kills of Anna Hilton.
Tickets for both matches are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
