HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College Head Volleyball coach Todd Caughlin is pleased to announce the addition of five new players for the 2010 season. These five ladies will join Coach Caughlin in his first year at the helm of the Coker Volleyball program. Caughlin joined Coker in June, after nine years at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
Joining Caughlin in his first year at the helm of the Lady Cobras will be the following players:
• Lauren Huther is an outside hitter from Myrtle Beach, S.C.
• Katie McElveen is an outside hitter from Hartsville, S.C.
• Mindy Morris is a defensive specialist from Beaufort, S.C.
• Adri Watford is a right side hitter from Sumter, S.C.
• Ashley Craig is a middle hitter from Jefferson, S.C.
“I am excited to get on the court and get things started,” said Caughlin. “It is going to be a challenge as we all get to know each other, but I am confident that we can have a successful season with hardwork and dedication.”
The Lady Cobras will jump right into the volleyball fire, as they head to perennial Conference Carolinas power, Lees-McRae College to play a tournament to open the season on Sept. 3-4.
