Hartsville, S.C. – The Coker Lady Cobras were unable to pick up a win in Conference Carolinas volleyball action on Tuesday night, as they fell 3-1 to the Mount Olive College Trojans. The Trojans Racey Bartley was the driving force behind the Mount Olive victory, putting away a match high 21 kills, while adding four total blocks.

The loss drops Coker to 3-23 overall and 1-12 in the conference, while Mount Olive improves to 12-14 overall and 11-2 overall.

Coker came out firing on all cylinders winning the first set 25-21, but the Trojans quickly answered with three straight wins; 25-19, 25-23, and 25-23.

Accompanying Bartley (Jacksonville, N.C.) in the double digit kill category was Alicia Mote (Miami, Fla.) with a double-double of 12 kills and 12 digs. Christiane Maul (Auerbach, Germany) had six kills and 12 digs, and Caitlin Skislak (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) added eight kills and nine digs. Joanie Werling (Purcelleville, Va.) had 49 assists for the Trojans.

For Coker, Kristin Teets (Columbia, S.C.) led the attack with 13 kills, while Lisa Ross (Bowling Green, Ky.) led the defense with 11 digs. Cynallyhia Indriago (Columbia, S.C.) and April Griggs (Bishopville, S.C.) each had eight kills, with Indriago adding eight digs. Abby Frame (Sylvania, Ohio) and Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) split the setting duties with Frame dishing out 17 assists and Bookhart handing out 15.

Coker returns to the floor on Friday night when they play host to Anderson University at 7:00 p.m.
