Hartsville, S. C. – The Coker volleyball team lost in straight sets to Lees-McRae Friday night in Conference Carolinas volleyball. The Bobcats defeated the Lady Cobras 3-0 with scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-15. The win improves Lees-McRae to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in the conference, while Coker falls to 1-11 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Leading the attack for the Cobras was Cynallyhia Indriago (Columbia, S.C.) with 10 kills and seven digs, followed by Paige Murray (Kitty Hawk, N.C.) with six kills and five digs. Abby Frame (Sylvania, Ohio) had 22 assists and eight digs, while Trisha Moore (Rock Hill, S.C.) also had eight digs.

For the Bobcats, Megan Epperson (St. john, Ind.) had eight kills, 10 digs and two aces, with Taylor Clendenin (Statesville, N.C.) getting eight kills and three total blocks. Luana Rocha (Brazil) had a match high 13 digs and Justine Congdon (Mason, Ohio) and Whitney Justice (Connelly Springs, N.C.) each had six kills.

The Lady Cobras return to the court at Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium on Saturday when they host Belmont Abbey College at 2:00 p.m., followed by a match against Brevard College at 4:00 p.m.
