ANDERSON, S.C. -- Melissa Thomas had 23 kills and 16 digs to lead No. 2 Limestone to a 30-22, 30-23, 28-30, 30-28 victory over No. 3 Coker in the semifinal round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament Friday night at the Abney Center.

Limestone, 20-15 overall, advances to play top-seeded Lees-McRae for the tournament title Saturday at 2 p.m.

Coker's season ends at 18-18.

Limestone used an 11-5 run to close out the first game. The Saints took a 2-0 lead by ending the second game with an 8-4 run. Coker took a 25-21 lead in the third game and held on to send the match to a fourth game. The fourth game featured 10 ties, the last one at 28. Limestone scored the final two points to end the match.

Ashley Hubbard added 11 kills, six block assists, and two solo blocks for Limestone. Limestone setter Laura Kerrison had 42 assists. Chelsea Anthony led the Limestone defense with 26 digs.

Margaret Madison and Megan Haupt led Coker in kills with 20 and 19, respectively.
