
THE COBRAS FINISH UP IN WINSTON-SALEM
The Cobras finish with multiple top-ten finishes.
Winston-Salem, NC- The Cobras finish off their second meet of the season. The Cobras featured multiple athletes in the top ten events throughout the day.
TOP PERFORMERS:
Massassi Maxwell-Smith: 10th in the Long Jump
Patience Lisbon: 6th in the 200m
Alejandra Alonso: 5th in the 600m
Dakota Jernigan: 9th in High Jump
Lyniah Kitt: 5th in Triple Jump
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The day started with the 60m dash qualify heat. 3 Cobras were in this event with Massassi Maxwell-Smith finishing the highest for the Cobras. Sadly her 6th place finish was not enough to secure a place in the finals. Next was the 200m dash where Coker's Patience Lisbon finished in 6th overall with a final time of 26.7. The Cobra's highest finish of the day came from Alejandra Alonso in the 600m dash as she finished 5th with a time of 1:48.44. Lyniah Kitt also finished fifth in the triple jump with a final distance of 10.81. The Cobras had Daokota Jernigan compete in the women's high jump and she performed very well with a final jump of 1.5m which gave her a 9th-place finish. Massassi Maxwell-Smith found herself finishing in 10th place in the long jump finals with a final of 5.01m.

The Cobras will be off the the Bast-Cregger Invitational next on January 31st and February 1st.
