
Women's Track and Field Kicks-Off Outdoor Season
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Coker University women’s track and field team got its outdoor season off to a good start on Saturday (Mar. 19), as it competed at the Rams College Invitational hosted by Columbia International University.
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Coker University women's track and field team got its outdoor season off to a good start on Saturday (Mar. 19), as it competed at the Rams College Invitational hosted by Columbia International University.
The 4 x 100m relay team was victorious, as they placed first with a time of 49.10. The Cobras were winners once again in the 4 x 400m relay, as they put up the top time of 4:03.51. Freshman Mariah Mitchem won in her first career collegiate outdoor start, as she finished first in the 400m with a time of 56.40. Stephani Forrester finished in eighth in the 400m with a time of 1:00.40.
Destiny Ingram's time of 2:27.60 was good enough for fifth in the 800m. Arianna Williams picked up a sixth place finish in the 400m hurdles, with a posted time of 1:12.80. Alera Jackson tied for seventh in the 200m, as she put up a time of 25.90.
The Cobras finished in 6th as a team. Coker will return to action next weekend (Mar. 25-26) when they travel to Atlanta, Ga. for the Emory Spring Break Classic. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
