The Newton, Mass. native smashed more school and meet records on Sunday, picking up conference championships in the 60 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. Lazare first broke the meet record for the 60, posting a time of 7.50. This was good enough for the Coker program record in the event as well. Calene was not finished for the day however, as she improved on the meet and school record she had set the day previous in the 200 meter dash (24.96) by posting a jaw-dropping time of 24.68 to win the conference crown.
The NCAA Division II Track and Field Indoor Championships selections will be made on Tuesday (Mar. 1). Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
