
Three Break School Records at Winthrop Spring Invitational
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Coker University women's track and field team completed competition at the Winthrop Spring Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 13). The Cobras had a strong showing setting three school records and several personal bests while competing against several Division I programs.

Katie Spence broke the school record for the 3000m with a time of 11:20.09, placing sixth in the event.
Destiny Ingram set the school record for the 1000m with a time of 3:25.35, placing ninth in the event.
Sierra St. John broke the school record for the hammer throw with a mark of 36.77m, she would place eighth in the event.
Calene Lazare took the 200m title with a time of 26.31. Zyasia Burgess came in second with a time of 26.31.
Faith Lee took the 100m hurdles title with a time of 14.62.
Nya Exum, Nyasia Weatherly, Faith Lee and Calene Lazare took the title for the 4x100 relay with a time of 47.58.
In the 100m, Lazare placed second in the 100m with a time of 12.47, while Weatherly placed third with a time of 12.50 and Exum placed fourth with a time of 12.79.
In the 400m, Stephani Forrester came in second with a time of 1:01.38.
Lee and Giovanna Machado came in second and third in the 400m hurdles with times of 1:05.86 and 1:06.98.
Jada Holton placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 11.17m and placed third in the high jump with a mark of 1.57m.
The Cobras will be back in action on Friday (Mar. 19) when they travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C to compete in the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Live coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
