
Jada Holton Named SAC AstroTurf Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coker University women’s track and field athlete Jada Holton was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women’s Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Feb. 16).
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coker University women's track and field athlete Jada Holton was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Feb. 16).
A sophomore transfer from Tennessee State, Holton broke her own school record in the triple jump at the Kenneth Giles NSU Invitational on Feb. 12 with a distance of 11.28 meters, beating the mark that she set just a week prior at the L-R Polar Joe Invite back on Feb. 6 of 11.25 meters.
This is Holton's first career Athlete of the Week award. The Coconut Grove, Fla. native is the daughter of Mary Jobe and Johnny Holton, Sr., and is a biology pre-med major.
The Cobras will be back in action on Mar.19 when they travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Live results can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
