Ruff Sets Coker Record at Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The Coker College women's track and field team enjoyed a record-breaking day at the Gamecock Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 13).

Kaylah Ruff broke her own 100-meter hurdles record with a blazing time of 14.34 seconds. She now holds the top ten 100-meter times in school history. She's recorded all five of the top five times in school history within the past month.

Caterra Barkins notched the second-best mark in school history in the discus, posting a distance of 36.38 meters. Barkins now owns five of the top six times in Coker history.

The Cobras will be back in action again on Thursday (Apr. 18) when they travel to Hickory, N.C. for the South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships.
