How It Happened
The Cobras earned 6-3 wins at the first and third doubles positions to take the doubles point and head up 1-0 going into singles play. The first court off was Bellegy, earning a dominant straight-sets victory on court one. Then, the freshman Hernandez-Sanchez battled for a first-set victory and then dominated in the second set, earning the Cobras a 3-0 lead with four matches still being played. After a close first set, Myers put the nail in the coffin with a 6-1 second set to clinch the sweep for the team!
