How It Happened
An extravagant doubles point was capped off with only two games being lost between the three pairings and two of the three pairings earning 6-0 victories. With that finished, they headed up 1-0 going into singles play. In singles play, the same kind of dominance was mirrored, with not a single Cobra athlete dropping a set en route to a 7-0 sweep over the Golden Bulls.
Notables
- Today was the first time this season that Drake and Grove paired up in doubles in a dual match, with the pair earning a dominant 6-0 win at third doubles
- The Cobras only dropped nineteen total games throughout singles and doubles combined, showcasing exactly how dominant of a performance this was
- Coker did not travel with their normal first doubles pair, as Bellegy and Banning sat this one out to be ready for the conference opener
Up Next
The Cobras will head back out on the road on Wednesday, starting conference play against the Anderson Trojans. The women's match is scheduled to have a first-serve of 11:00 AM ET.
